Getting into the groove

Day 0 - Mi Si - 6-25

Made my 8th summit of Mt. Si earlier this week, putting me around 56,000 vertical feet in the last two months. I feel good about getting in the hills. Also did a 20-mile road walk this past weekend with the 32 lb pack. Unfortunately, my back hurt for the first time for nearly the whole trek. Not sure if because it was pavement or I didn’t have the pack sitting right on me.

Early rumblings….

Day 0 - Mi Si - 6-8Summited Mt. Si today (4th time). Think it’s roughly 3,500 ft vertical over 4 miles up. This time with a 32 lb pack that I think simulated a good idea of what I should expect. I carried 8 lbs of food in a zpacks roll bag, and 7.5 liters of water. I removed the water bladder pouch from the pack last night and the pack rode much better on my back, despite the greater weight. May have to explore the BlogPress app.
